Bogota is the capital and largest city of Colombia. After La Paz and Quito, it is the third highest capital in the world, it is located at 2640 metres above sea level. In Bogota there are many universities and libraries, therefore it is nicknamed The Athens of South America. The most famous tourist attractions are botanical garden José Celestino Mutis, the national observatory, many museums and amusement parks.

Cartagena de Indias is located on the northern coast of Colombia facing the Caribbean Sea. It is the major tourist destination in Colombia. The walled city of Cartagena is UNESCO World Heritage Site. The major tourist attractions are the fortress Castillo de San Felipe, La Popa - the hill with amazing view of the city, Playa Blanca and nearby coral reefs.
